UK Trailer & Poster For STEP UP : MIAMI HEAT, The Revolution Is Waiting To Boogie-Loo

Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for the popularity of tv programmes like Britain’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, similar talent shows which dancers compete in films like this probably would exist. Ryan Guzman and Kathryn McCormick star in the fourth instalment of the Step Up franchise, STEP UP 4: MIAMI HEAT (Step Up Revolution in USA) which sets the dancing against the vibrant backdrop of Miami, directed by Scott Speer.

Jon M. Chu, the director of STEP UP 2: THE STREETS and STEP UP 3-D, is executive producer alongside Offspring’s Matt Smith. The screenplay for the project is penned by Jenny Mayer.

Emily (McCormick), the daughter of a wealthy businessman, arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer, but soon falls in love with Sean (Guzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs. The crew, called the MOB, strives to win a contest for a major sponsorship opportunity, but soon Emily’s father threatens to develop the MOB’s historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people. Emily must band together with Sean and the MOB to turn their performance mobs into protest mobs, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause.

The film marks Guzman’s acting debut. He has achieved great success as a well known model. McCormick was discovered on the television series So You Think You Can Dance.In the beginning there was only a few which was fine but 6-7 years on, it’s now overflowing with carbon copies 99% terrible brining nothing fresh or new to the genre apart from a new name and location.
