New PROMETHEUS Featurette Reveals New Footage And Ridley Scott is ‘The Man’

In my teens I always remember one great wrestling legend who loved to wind up his opponents “In order to be the man, you’ve got to bet the man”, “wooooo!!!” of course its Ric Flair the dirtiest player in the game. So when it comes to science fiction Ridley Scott is the man! for over 30 years Scott’s 2 greatest contributions to science fiction film have helped to define the genre Alien & Blade Runner which still look as fresh, exciting after all those decades, so it was wonderful news when he announced he was going back to familiar ground with Prometheus which is now only 5 weeks away from release!!!

A new featurette thanks to Apple has appeared online which has a chatter with Ridley Scott which we get a little understanding of the directors mindset, his return to the genre. We also here from some of the films cast too but most of all we get a look at some more new footage none which has been seen in any of the previous trailers, tv spots! Not been a fan of 3D Ridley Scott has on record talked glowingly about the film’s 3D, which any sane cinephile will agree recent 3D films haven’t lived upto the expectations with exception of Hugo and here’s hoping Prometheus will follow suit !

Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.

PROMETHEUS stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall and Logan Marshall-Green. The film will arrive in UK&Ireland June 1st and USA June 8th.
