New Clip & Date Change For UK Release Of The Rum Diary

It’s been 13 years since Johnny Depp was in Hunter S Thompson when he played out Fear in Loathing In Las Vegas but will it be all drugs, surreal craziness in The Rum Diary when its released on its new date for the UK. Entertainment Films have contacted The Peoples Movies to inform the new date will now be November 11th instead of 4th which isn’t that bad as usually the UK/Irish release dates get changed sometimes they can be crazy like been released months later. As for the surreal  rumblings in The Rum Diary we may see a few as this is a Hunter S Thompson story but not as crazy as Depp’s last encounter with his friend however expect wacky things to happen and exchange the drugs for alcohol! Unfortunately Entertainment Films have supplied us with a preview so we can tell you how good the film, it seems to be a common occurrence with a lot of film studios which is usually a sign the film studio doesn’t have faith in the film which is a shame. The Rum Diary is out this weekend in USA and the reviews are positive but not perfect, anyway check out this sexy dance clip with the hot Amber Head dancing with a half naked lucky guy!

Based on the debut novel by Hunter S. Thompson which initiated his long, distinguished and brilliantly unpredictable career, THE RUM DIARY tells the increasingly unhinged story of itinerant journalist Paul Kemp (Depp). Tiring of the noise and madness of New York and the crushing conventions of late Eisenhower-era America, Kemp travels to the pristine island of Puerto Rica to write for a local newspaper, The San Juan Star, run by downtrodden editor Lotterman (Jenkins).

Adopting the rum-soaked life of the late 50’s version of Hemmingway’s lost generation, Paul soon becomes increasingly obsessed with Chenault (Heard), the wildly attractive Connecticut-born fiancée of Sanderson (Eckhart), a businessman involved in shady property development deals.

THE RUM DIARY is a GK Films, Infinitum Nihil and Film Engine production.

THE RUM DIARY will be released in cinemas across the UK by Entertainment Film Distributors on 11th November 2011
