First Trailer For Resistance Starring Michael Sheen , Andrea Risenborough

I love “what if” movies its an intriguing but frightening alternate that’s fascinating to read or watch but a devastating thought if it did actually happen. This “What If’ idea is the basis of Resistance a frightening premise that World War 2 D-Day failed and Britain is now under Nazi Occupation, a movie which stars Michael Sheen,Andrea Risenborough,Tom Wlaschiha, Iwan Rheon (Misfits) and Kimberley Nixon with Amit Gupta directing.

We’ve seen a few What If The Nazi’s won World War 2 before but sadly they went too deep and frankly delving right into pure fantasy however from the trailer for Resistance which you’ll check out in a moment this movie certainly looks alot more realistic, dramatic making it a movie we should check out on November 25th when its released in UK.

D-Day has failed, Britain is under Nazi occupation!

Sarah Lewis, a 26-year-old farmer’s wife, awakes one morning to find that her husband has disappeared along with all the men in the valley.  Assuming they have joined the Resistance, the women of this tiny community pull together, taking on the running of the farms, and wait, desperate for news.  A German patrol arrives in the valley, the purpose of its mission a mystery. When a severe winter forces the two groups into co-operation, Sarah begins an acquaintance with the patrol’s commanding officer, Albrecht.  Cut off from the surrounding war, the lines between collaboration, duty, occupation and survival become blurred.

RESISTANCE features a sensational lead performances from British rising star Andrea Riseborough (Brighton Rock, Made In Dagenham, W.E.), and Tom Wlaschia (Enemy At The Gates, Valkyrie, Brideshead Revisited), and co-stars Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon, The Damned United).

(UPDATE – October 3rd Big thanks to Metrodome today who have sent us a new trailer plus some images along with updated synopsis)
