Only 8 days until RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES finally arrives in cinemas around UK&Ireland and after a hard slog to convince people this movie is worthy of  your time, it’s nearly time to actually judge if the wait was worth it. One of the doubting things with the film for many fans was not using actors in suits like the original films but using the motion capture created by FX CGI Wizars WETA who brought us Lord Of The Rings, King Kong, Avatar. So are you doubting the FX of this upcoming movie and need something to impress you of WETA’S talents? Look No further as Fox New Zealand have unleashed this impressive behind the scene 4 minute featurette which contains loads of new footage, interviews with director Rupert Wyatt, Weta artists including Joe Letteri and the man who has perfected the art of acting in Capture Motion Andy Serkis (this also proves Serkis deserves some recognition when the Oscars arrive!).

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES stars  James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, Brian Cox, Tom Felton and John Lithgow with British director Rupert Wyatt directing.

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES combines fantastic storytelling with the next leap in Visual Effects for an emotional and action-packed motion picture experience unlike any other. Man’s arrogance sets off a chain of events that leads to intelligence in apes and a challenge to our place as the dominant species on the planet. Caesar, the first intelligent ape, is betrayed by humans and rises up to lead his species’ spectacular race to freedom and the ultimate showdown with Man. In Caesar, WETA – the Oscar-winning visual effects team behind Avatar – have created a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence.
