2 New UK Posters, Official Synopsis & Trailer For We Need To Talk About Kevin

Lynne Ramsay’s We Need To Talk About Kevin is certainly one of the anticipated movies for the second half of 2011 after the buzz from this years Cannes Film Festival Lynne Ramsay’s film which is based on  Lionel Shriver Orange prize winning novel. The story is based on a struggling Mother who struggles to raise her troubled son who goes onto commit the most heinous of crimes going on a killing spree at a high school.

Artificial Eye are releasing the movie in UK & Ireland on October 21st and today they have sent us 2 new posters one red, one blue  along with the posters you can read the official synopsis for the movie and another chance to watch the creepy UK trailer too. We Need To Talk About Kevin  stars Tilda Swinton, John C. Reilly, Siobhan Fallon, Ezra Miller, Anna Kuchma and Leslie Lyles. 

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN, directed by Lynne Ramsay, will open in cinemas across the UK on 21 October through Artificial Eye, following its highly acclaimed World Premiere at the recent Cannes Film Festival.

Eva puts her ambitions and career aside to give birth to Kevin. The relationship between mother and son is difficult from the very first years. When Kevin is 15, he does something irrational and unforgiveable in the eyes of the entire community. Eva grapples with her own feelings of grief and responsibility. Did she ever love her son? And how much of what Kevin did was her fault?

Academy Award® winner Tilda Swinton (I Am Love, Michael Clayton) stars alongside Academy Award® nominee John C. Reilly (Chicago) and Ezra Miller (TV’s Californication). BAFTA winner Lynne Ramsay (Ratcatcher, Morvern Callar) and Rory Stewart Kinnear wrote the script, based on Lionel Shriver’s novel of the same name, the Winner of the Orange Prize for Fiction. Seamus McGarvey is the Director of Photography and the music score is by Jonny Greenwood.
