Another UK (International) Trailer For RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

This evening 20th Century Fox UK have released a new international trailer for RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. Its certainly thebest of the bunch of all the trailers so far from the movie depsite only been 60 seconds long and we get more explosive action, no crys of the apes are company property but most of all we do get to see a little bit of Cesar ‘human’ caring side through watching John Lithgow’s character suffer with Alzheimer’s disease. Its a touching trailer which will pull a few emotional strings and as for the CGI animation its not near perfect but the apes are definitely looking alot more realistic than I thought they could be, I’m actually getting excited to see this now and I was never a fan of the original either !

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES stars  James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, Brian Cox, Tom Felton and John Lithgow with British director Rupert Wyatt directing and will be on our screens August 12th (week earlier if your American).

An origin story in the true sense of the word, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is set in present day San Francisco. The film is a reality-based cautionary tale — a science fiction/science-fact blend where mankind’s hubris leads to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. Oscar(R)-winning visual effects house WETA Digital – employing certain of the groundbreaking technologies developed for “Avatar” – will render, for the first time ever in the film series, photo-realistic apes rather than costumed actors.

  1. Thanks for posting the trailer (and this was the first I’ve even heard of the new movie), but to be honest, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” looks pretty awful and pointless (and that’s saying something, considering almost any cinematic crap can be made to seem at least potentially bearable in a well made trailer). Really — the only Planet of the Apes films that are “essential” are the first two original movies (despite their flaws).
