The First TV Spot For Joe Wright’s HANNA starring Saorise Ronan as a 16 year old killing machine has appeared online. Raised in rural Finland by her ex-cia father played by Eric Bana with the movie starring also Cate Blanchett, Tom Hollander, Olivia Williams and Jason Flemyng. It may not be the type of movie you expect Joe Wright to direct as we’re more used to see him directing period drama like Attonment, Pride and Prejudice but what we’ve seen so far on the movies footage he’s doing a fine job. One other important part of a movie which some people tend to forget is the soundtrack and we all know that a song, instrumental piece could be make or break for a movie as it helps the momentum/ tension build for the viewer. The Chemical Brothers have written & performed the music for Hanna and Im listening to the soundtrack whilst Im writing this and its awesome! You can also listen to the full 20 track soundtrack yourself online at the duo’s Myspace page and even if your not a fan of the bands music its worth a listen, so after watching the tv spot click on the link below it and enjoy the music!
Hanna is due out in North America on April 8th and until yesterday I was under the impression it was the same release date for UK & Ireland but my local cinema is advertising May 6th, what ever one theres not long to go!
Hanna (to be played by Ms. Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a solider; these come from being raised by her father (Mr. Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Sweden. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Ms. Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.
