Focus Features have unleashed the first trailer for HANNA via Yahoo Movies. The movie stars Saorise Ronan (Lovely Bones, The Way Back) as Hanna a 16 year old trained killing machine who is raised by her father in rural Finland to be the perfect assassin by her father an ex -cia played by Eric Bana. The movie is directed by Joe Wright who is better know for his period dramas such as Atonement (where he first worked with Ronan) and Pride & Prejudice and its a change of scenery for him in movie genres and if go by what we see in this trailer we have a lot to be excited about.
HANNA also co-stars Cate Blanchett, Olivia Williams, Tom Hollander and Niels Arestrup (Un Prophete)and is due for release in UK & Ireland on April 8th, 2011
Synopsis: Hanna (Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a solider; these come from being raised by her father (Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Sweden. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin.
