Today I was about to create a post for the new poster and offical synopsis for Cary Fukunaga‘s new adaption of the Charlotte Bronte classic novel JANE EYRE, we can go one better now as Yahoo Movies have debuted the movies trailer.

For this version the movie stars Mia Wasikowska as Jane Eyre and she has made a real name for herself especially after Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland (actually appearing in better movies) and for Focus Features she lands the lead role. The movie also has man of the moment Michael Fassbender who also has a barreload of new movies on the pipeline with X-Men First Class the most noteable, Dame Judi Dench, Jamie Bell, Sally Hawkins and Imogen Poots also appear.

I’m not a fan of the story but I appreciate it is a literature classic and is loved by many people worldwide so no need to criticise it, however im not denying this movie isnt good but one thing about classic literature it is prone to be remade/adapted many times and I ask what different can they do to a classic story thats been redone so many times?

Jane Eyre will be out early 2011 (USA March 11th, 2011).

Based on Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel, the romantic drama stars Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) in the lead roles. In the story, Jane Eyre flees Thornfield House, where she works as a governess for wealthy Edward Rochester. The isolated and imposing residence – and Mr. Rochester’s coldness – have sorely tested the young woman’s resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned. As Jane reflects upon her past and recovers her natural curiosity, she will return to Mr. Rochester – and the terrible secret that he is hiding…
