The First trailer to the follow up movie to Duncan Jones Moon, SOURCE CODE hits the net thanks to Summit Entertainment via Apple. Anytime something created by Zowie Bowie or Duncan as he likes to be called now days gets posted online right away its measured up against Moon, once again Ive still not seen Moon yet however I do now own a copy of the movie Ill hope to watch very shortly. Going with what ive read in the press as well movie fan reaction Moon was a fantastic movie paying homeage to some of the 1970’s sci-fi flicks .
Source code stars Jake Gyllenhaal decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he’s part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he’s ever known, he learns he’s part of a government experiment called the “Source Code,” a program that enables him to cross over into another man’s identity in the last 8 minutes of his life.With a larger target now on the cards Colter must relive the incendent over and over again in order to prevent millions of people dying picking up the clue each time he lives that last 8 minutes and hope he can prevent the attack happening.
The first question many people are asking can Duncan Jones pull it off again after Moon now with a bigger budget on hand? The answer is it looks promising for him though alot of people will notice the movie is inspired by many films including 12 monkeys, groundhog day, even a little Qauntum Leap as well. Its looking good for this movie!
Source Code also stars Michelle Mongahan, Vera Famglia and Jeffrey Wright with the movie set for a March 11th,2011 release date.
