New UK Poster For Ryan Reynolds in BURIED

I really am getting pysched up about this movie, ever since I read the report about BURIED’s premiere back at this years Sundance and the bidding war between the studios to grab this movie within minutes/hours after it was shown was unbelievable. What it did do was shine the spotlight on the movie and 7 months on it’s nearly time for it to shine on our big screens!

The market has been spot on especially with the movie been set virtually in one location so its hard to give away much of the ‘action’ away because if you do the movies spoiled. We’ve been dripfed just little dribs and drabs enough to keep you excited as well enough to remind you the film  is about to be released very shortly.

The American marketing has already started and now the UK marketing has kicked off though it will follow similar lines of the American (usually the trailers are similar at least) and Icon have sent me the UK poster for the movie and from the poster we can see the British website is up and running too. I do like the brown soil background (maybe be better with a slightly rougher soil background) gives you the impression of where Ryan Reynolds character is stuck in plus they haven’t fallen down the similar colour scheme style many blockbusters use.

The movie stars Ryan Reynolds as the unfortunate dude stuck 6 foot under (but he doesnt know that) and here’s a lowdown on the synopsis:

Paul Conroy is not ready to die. But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time— fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued

Buried will now be released on September 29th in UK & Ireland (USA October 8th), and check out  the poster as well as the UK teaser:
