The Weinstein Company have released online the first offical trailer for THE COMPANY MEN. The film is the movie directoral debut for John Wells who made his name on TV with ER & West Wing and stars Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones, Chris Cooper, Kevin Costner, Craig T Nelson and Maria Bello.

The movie tells the story of 3 men trying to survive company downsizing at a big company and how it affects them, there families and communities a little bit like reality nowdays.

The movie did premiere away back in January at the Sundance festival I beleive it did get some decent feedback and watching the intro and the reaction of Ben Affleck’s face just reminds of many of those pointless confrences/seminars I had to go to like that one in the trailer. When your confidence is low and prospects on the job front are bad why do you have to do these things?

Anyway there’s no UK release date yet but The Company Men will be out in USA on October 22nd

Bobby Walker is living the American dream: great job, beautiful family, shiny Porsche in the garage. When corporate downsizing leaves him and co-workers Phil Woodward and Gene McClary jobless, the three men are forced to re-define their lives as men, husbands, and fathers. Bobby soon finds himself enduring enthusiastic life coaching, a job building houses for his brother-in-law which does not play to his executive skill set, and perhaps the realization that there is more to life than chasing the bigger, better deal.
